Ethnographic Museum/HDLU, and Performative Conference, ADU / Zagreb, October, 2025

In October 2025 we had the opportunity to present Compositions of Flow in Zagreb in a two-part complementary format: as a video installation at the Ethnographic Museum (organized by HDLU) and as a participatory performance Compositions of Flow: Reflections, within the Performative Conference “Bolno mjesto zajednice,” at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, organized by Četveroruka.
While at the museum we chose to present the work in a purely representational format, the conference setting offered the opportunity to explore key methodological aspects of the project and to create a new image and situation guided by the question: How can aesthetic experience and participation open spaces of identification between people with entirely different life biographies?
Compositions of Flow (COF) is a two-year research project, a public-space installation, and a multimedia gallery installation. It explored the ambiguities of migrant experiences, with a focus on recent labour migration within the wider Danube region. It continues to evolve through different formats, methodological and thematic focuses. More about the project COF 2023.
