Compositions of Flow / 2023

Two-year research project, installation in public space and multimedia galley installation, in collaboration with Sophia Freidhoff

Stone Bridge and M26, Regensburg, Germany
AiR donumenta – art in public space

Compositions of Flow deals with the topic of labor migration within the Danube region. The title of the project, an allusion to the concept of freedom of movement as a human right, problematizes the ambivalence between the theoretical concept of freedom of movement and the lived experience of migrants. Furthermore, by looking at the statistics and numbers, as well as individual stories, insights, and subjective perceptions associated with the experience of building a new life away from home, the issue of migration is conveyed from a multilayered artistic-scientific perspective examining the limitations of individual discipline, as well as the potentials that are opened up by their fusion.

The installation was opened on the occasion of International Danube Day-June 29, at the historic Stone Bridge in Regensburg, followed by the multimedia exhibition and presentation of the two-year research project in M26.
